Next Baby In Progress

Written by Deborah on .

I am currently working on Laura Tuzio Ross's "Haley". I love this kit. Her face is just adorable! I am not 100% sure if she will be a she or a he, but whatever gender, the baby will be adorable. If you want to be one of the first to be notified when a new baby comes available, join my mailing list on my home page to the left. Mailing list folks always get notified first!

Thank you.

ANNOUNCEMENT Regarding Layaway

Written by Deborah on .

I have had to make a recent business decision. It may upset some, but unfortunately, I have to do what is right for my situation and do what works for my small business. Starting immediately, I will NO LONGER be accepting layaway as a method of payment under any circumstances. It is simply too difficult to put in the time and expense only to have wait 2 months to recoup the cost. It is been my experience, unfortunately, that folks either do not follow through or they do not pay on time. I understand situations arise, but I just cannot continue to do business wondering if someone is going to pay on time when I have my own expenses that I need to cover. I apologize ahead of time to those this may upset, but it is they only way for me to be able to continue doing what I love.

Thank you.

Deborah's Darlings Closed 8/5 - 8/17

Written by Deborah on .

Hi Folks!

Tomorrow I start my very needed two week vacation. During this time, I will still answer emails and messages, however, all will be answered in the evenings. This will be time for me to spend with my family and my oldest son who I only get to see a few times a year.

Once I return and get back to work on August 18, I will be working towards preparing for two upcoming shows. On November 5, I will be participating in a small local Christmas show here in my home town. Most of what I will have for my exhibit will be hand made Christmas items such as ormaments, wreaths, wood decor, and t-shirts. I will also have just a small few preemie Christmas babies that I will be offering at a very good price. These will be tiny 13" babies dressed in Christmas attire. I will also be working full time preparing for the International Doll and Teddy Bear Show in Asheville, NC. Last year I waited till January to get started and boy was that ever a big mistake! I found myself working 12 to 14 hours a day including weekends. This time I am starting early. I will be making babies to put on my website as well at babies for the show. It is going to be a busy time! I have a ton of kits coming in so I will be a busy bee for sure!

For those wanting more information on the International Doll and Teddy Bear Show in Asheville, NC in June, click the link below. This show is amazing and brings talented artists from all over the world! If you can, dont miss it! I will be there with a table of babies ready to take home! Hope to see you all there!

Baby Ally and Changes in Layaway Terms

Written by Deborah on .

Hello!

First, I want to introduce the newest baby at Deborah's Darlings. Meet baby Ally! She will be the last baby I have until after I have completed my break from vacation on August 17. You can see more of Ally here:

Secondly, Deborah's Darlings will be closed from Friday, August 5 - Wednesday, August 17 for a much needed vacation. Only business related messages will be answered as this is time for me to spend with my family and especially with my son who I only see a few times a year. All business messages or emails will be answered in the evenings only.

Lastly and now for the not so fun stuff. I will be needing to change my layaway terms starting immediately. All layaways will now require a 50% nonrefundable deposit. With price of supplies increasing and many folks not following through with layaways, a greater investment will be needed for me to consider a layaway. Putting a baby on layaway is pulling it away from any other possible sales. When folks don't follow through, that is like a boss telling you that you aren't getting paid that week. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to do business in that manner. I hope everyone will understand.

Thanks,

Deborah

Summer Progress and a Sale Through Friday 7/15

Written by Deborah on .

Hello!

I wanted to just stop in and let everyone know that I do have babies in progress. Many have messaged me because it has been awhile since the last one was released. Please bear with me. Summers are very slow progress months for me because my kids are out of school, I have had family visiting, and I have had a few trips scheduled. I will be taking a break in August to visit my son in California as well. Always remember, quality cannot be rushed.

I do not rush my babies as I try to provide the best quality as I can.

I also wanted to mention that through Friday 7/15, Baby Noah and Baby Pearl Rose are on sale for $500 each plus shipping in the USA. Both of these babies are adorable!

Please keep checking back. I promise more babies are in progress!
