Works in Progress

Written by Deborah on .

Hello,

Just to keep folks updated...I am currently working on Laura Tuzio Ross' "Harlow" sculpt. This baby is absolutely gorgeous! This baby will be traveling with me to the ROSE International Doll Show in July in Denver, CO. Since so many people have contacted me regarding this sculpt, I decided to order another one. I will be getting started on that "Harlow" after I finish the one for the show and will put her up for adoption here on my site. Right now I have to make the show priority as I am running out of time. My daughter is getting ready to graduate so I have a lot of family coming in which will also affect the amount of time I have to work.

Be watching for the second "Harlow" to appear. As always, a newsletter will go out as soon as I have her completed.

I would like to mention again that I am currently NOT accepting any layaways and will not be offering any exceptions. All adoptions must be paid in full at purchase.

Thank you,

Deborah

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Written by Deborah on .

I have had several folks inquiring about the babies I have on my doll show page asking if they could purchase them. At this time, these babies will only be available at the ROSE International Doll Show in Denver, CO in July. If they are still available after the show, I will place them on my "Up for Adoption" page. If I sell all my babies prior to the show. I will have nothing for my tables. I simply do not have the time to replace any that I would sell at this point. I still have one or two that I need to complete prior to the show. Time is getting very pressing for me especially with my daughter's graduation next month.

Also, I need to make an announcement regarding layaways. First of all, I DO NOT do holds without a nonrefundable 25% deposit...not for a few days, not even for a few hours. NO EXCEPTIONS!  Also, DO NOT put a baby on layaway if you are not sure you will be able to pay it off. When a buyer asks me to put a baby on layaway, they are asking me to remove the baby from sale and to prevent any other interested buyer from purchasing that baby. When a lawaway is cancelled, not only do I lose other possible sales, but the funds I have upfronted to make the baby are still not paid off resulting in debt on my side. I simply cannot operate business this way. It is too stressful and does cause financial issues on my end.

Although it has already been stated for many months, I WILL NOT REFUND any layaway deposits or payments from this point forward!!! NO EXCEPTIONS! Also, layaway deposits ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE...meaning the funds cannot be put towards another doll or given to a friend. I have had too many layaways cancelled over the last few months and cannot continue to operate on broken promises.

If for any reason you have the slightest doubt about paying off a baby, then please DO NOT put the baby on layaway. It saves a lot of headache on both sides

Thank you,

Deborah

Slow Progress this Week

Written by Deborah on .

Hi folks,

This week has not been too productive. My kids are on their Spring Break so I have been doing some work but also have been trying to keep them entertained. I am finishing up going through photos today on my Elisa Marx Ivy sculpt. This baby will be going to the ROSE International Doll Show in July. Once I have the photos done and have her posted on my Doll Show Babies page, I will be starting on 2 more babies. Those will include Olga Auer's "Adelya" and Tina Kewy's "Jamie". Adelya will be going to the ROSE show unless plans change. I will keep you posted.

Thanks,

Deborah

Working, working, working!!!

Hi folks,

I am finally feeling my energy is back and I am now working full speed ahead in preparation for my upcoming show in July. From now until then I am attempting to work on two babies simultaneously. One baby will be for the show, the other will be for adoption here on my site. I have several kits that are waiting to be made. A few I am waiting to be shipped and some are here just waiting to be brought alive. This week I will be making another Elisa Marx Ivy  that will be put away for adoption at the Rose International Doll show. I will also be working on Tamie Yarie's "Raven" kit that will be available for adoption. She is beautiful kit. She is a limited edition kit of only 500. Her details are amazing and her face is as sweet as can be.

Because I am working on kits simultaneously, it may take me a little longer in between kits especially if a baby is being rooted. My shoulder doesn't handle rooting well and usually requires me to stop and let ibuprophen to settle in. These next two babies will have hand painted hair so that should allow me to rest it for a good while.

Ok. I am back to work!
